When I became Robert’s editor here at Eerdmans in 1993, he had already published a number of highly regarded books, including The Supper of the Lamb and The Parables of Grace. In the ten years that we worked together, I couldn’t predict what he would say in these letters - but I always knew how he would close them. A few of them were typed, but almost all of them were handwritten. ![]() That’s the way Robert Farrar Capon always signed his letters to me. Capon for a number of years beginning in the early 1990s.
